About This Role:
We are looking for a software product manager to build out our core software platform that supports multiple products and market segments. This position will support the growth of our platform as we accelerate growth by optimizing our software portfolio. Today we have a number of software solutions with overlapping needs that need to be brought together into a core platform to create both internal and customer value.
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for full lifecycle management of cross-functional teams to bring to market products and services that deliver unique benefits and superior value to the customers and thereby to Sensitech. The Senior Product Manager engages with the Product Marketing Managers, Sales, Engineering and other key Stakeholders to translate voice of the customer (VOC) and market needs into new product requirements that drive tactical activities. This is a hybrid position in our Beverly, MA office, remote options will be considered for the right candidate.
Job Description:
Act as the Product Champion for identified portfolio of products, supporting strategic and tactical initiatives to generate new market share and to ensure customer retention
Understand, document, and communicate product/service solutions to be addressed, the value to be provided to the target customers, market size, competitive landscape, business risk, and the financial and strategic opportunity that the product or service represents for the company
Understand business and commercial drivers and create the business case and the requirements for potential new products and product enhancements
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for internal user and external customer support, training, and market facing communications
Translate customer and market needs along with regulatory and technology trends into product requirements and customer use cases. Work directly with Engineering and Product Owners in the detailed requirement definition and prioritization process.
Engage the customers early and often in testing out ideas, proof of concepts, and alpha and beta releases to elicit feedback to better understand user needs
Drive solution sets and act as the primary product contact across development and operational teams
Fully immerse the teams in developing a user experience (UX) for Sensitech’s products that delight the user and provide a seamless experience
Gain consensus through periodic cross-functional team meetings while developing a customer focused product/service roadmap
Support a comprehensive solution and identify/address cross product dependencies through collaboration with all platform product managers
Collaborate with Product Management team in product roadmap planning including product introduction, product positioning, release scheduling and target End-of-Life
Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel required along with other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degrees
5+ years of product management experience
Ability to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
Demonstrated knowledge with the new product introduction (NPI) process from ideation and conception through to commercialization
Experience with meeting global customer needs
Experience with web based and cloud-hosted applications, system architecture, reporting services, and interaction with hardware solutions
Familiarity with User Experience (UX), and User Experience Design (UXD)
Comfortable in multi-tasking between business, technical, and strategic marketing activities
Strong product/project management, problem-solving, & analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and work with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Excellent presentation skills
Strong computer skills, especially MS Office
Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment
Experience with Lean, ISO and/or GxP processes (i.e. 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11); Understanding of regulatory requirements is desirable
