Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems has been a global leader in maritime air conditioning and refrigeration technology since we pioneered the first shipboard use of air conditioning. Today, our products are found aboard cruise ships, offshore platforms, and commercial vessels throughout the world.

Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems is responsible for selling air conditioning products and systems for every commercial application from cruise ships to fishing boats, offshore drilling platforms to oil tankers.
This position can be worked onsite in Syracuse, NY or worked remotely from one of the following states: New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform complex services, technical analyses, advanced tests, repair and maintenance procedures and commissioning of HVAC Controls products / Systems on board of ships and offshore islands in alternating circumstances.
- Detects the source of failures and fixes malfunctions of different natures.
- Provide service support and commissioning of new installations in consultation with the owner and/or shipyard team.
- Detect damages on technical installations and submit reports.
- High degree of domestic and international travel required (80% or more).
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC controls and automation, including a combined experience in maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, commissioning, design of BAS products and solutions.
- Travel, including domestic and international (up to or above 80%)
- Allowed to work in the USA without any employment sponsorship at the time of the application.
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Chiller experience (asset)
- Ability to solve problems, signal bottlenecks and anticipate in alternate solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to offer unique technical solutions.
- Flexibility and availability for 24/7 work model to respond to unplanned customer requirements; this includes extended business travel outside of the United States (primarily to cruise ships and ports).
