We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join our team and shape the future of our technology landscape.
About This Role:
We are looking for a strategic and highly influential Lead Enterprise Architect to guide the evolution of our Data, AI, Analytics, and Cloud ecosystems. This is a senior leadership position responsible for defining the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for our core technology platforms.
More than just a technical expert, the Lead Enterprise Architect will be the central figure in building and maturing our architecture practice. You will be responsible for leading a formal team of architects while also fostering a broader, collaborative Community of Practice across the enterprise. You will establish the critical governance structures, design patterns, and best practices that empower our engineering teams to build innovative, scalable, and robust solutions with speed and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Technical Architecture:
- Lead architect and technical authority for major digital transformation programs to drive strategic initiatives. Proactively identify opportunities for architectural improvements, technology consolidation, and reduction of technical debt.
- Develop and own the enterprise architecture roadmap for data, analytics, and cloud platforms, ensuring it supports long-term business goals.
- Collaborate with C-level executives, business stakeholders, and product managers to understand business drivers and translate them into a coherent technical strategy.
- Provide expert-level guidance on the design and implementation of complex, large-scale solutions on AWS and GCP.
- Architect modern data solutions utilizing our strategic data platform, Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance, governance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the design and strategy for our enterprise integration landscape, with a focus on our iPaaS platform, Boomi.
- Drive the architectural design for deploying and scaling AI and Machine Learning models, from proof-of-concept to production.
Leadership, Governance, and Community Building:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a direct team of senior architects (AI, Data, Analytics, Cloud) while also building and nurturing a vibrant, cross-functional 'Community of Practice' for architects and senior engineers across the organization.
- Design, implement, and chair the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (ARB). This body will be responsible for reviewing significant designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, mitigating risk, and granting architectural approvals.
- Drive the creation, curation, and evangelization of a repository of reusable architectural design patterns, reference architectures, and best practices. Promote their adoption to accelerate development, improve quality, and ensure consistency across projects.
- Champion a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Organize and lead architectural workshops, brown-bag sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Act as a primary architectural thought leader, effectively communicating complex concepts, strategic roadmaps, and architectural decisions to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to senior executives.
Demonstrated Leadership & Community Experience:
- A strong track record of developing and maintaining a repository of architectural assets, such as design patterns and reference architectures, and successfully driving their adoption within a large organization.
- Experience in defining and implementing an enterprise-wide architecture governance framework that balances agility with control.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 12+ years of progressive experience in the IT industry, with a focus on software development, systems engineering, or architecture.
- 8+ years in a dedicated Architect role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Architect, Enterprise Architect), with demonstrable experience in setting technical direction.
