About this role:


The Field Technician Supervisor is a team leader of a selected number of Field Engineers (FE).  Their primary responsibility is managing and training of their direct employees, and verification of their work. They will be responsible for the mentoring of new hires into new construction field operations, as well as current FE’s.  They are responsible for working with the Project Management group in coordinating timely completion of all assigned projects.  Ensure the field staff has the proper knowledge to perform that work and is executing their work at or under the project specific budget.  Primarily responsible for coordinating all resources, internal and external, necessary for the execution of the new construction project their FE’s are assigned to in Cora PPM.

Role Purpose:

  • Provide technical BAS support for the Project Teams.
  • Provide supervision of Field Engineers.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to provide leadership in field commissioning activities.
  • Provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills.
  • Provide an opportunity to develop and implement strategy project planning skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage Field Engineers through training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure team is optimizing their time on projects and properly entering billing hours.
  • Ensure proper documentation and communication to customers, subcontractors, and department managers.
  • Oversee project completion, expenses, and quality control.
  • Conduct interviews with potential field engineers.
  • Allocate resources and manpower with Project Managers and Branch Operations Managers.
  • Complete required documentation for employees and projects.
  • Provide technical assistance when needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years experience in the BAS/HVAC field
  • Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by company’s insurance carrier.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, business, or related subject matter.
  • Knowledge and experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
  • Proficient in Automated Logic and Phoenix software, such as WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, or similar software.
  • Previous leadership experience and ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Ability to multitask various large and diverse challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
  • Field experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of Automated Logic Controls and ability to understand/navigate third party control systems and integrations.
  • A true team player who has the customer’s best interests first and foremost.
