About this role
Carrier is looking for students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or related technology fields to join our Digital Technology Internship Program. We’re looking for interns with strong academics, leadership potential, and curiosity to learn. The Digital Technology Internship Program offers meaningful, hands-on work in areas such as cybersecurity, digital product management, data science, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and business systems. Our commitment is to give internship assignments that help you grow your technical and professional skills and build a strong foundation for your early career.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will have opportunities to contribute across a wide range of Digital Technology teams that support Commercial HVAC, Residential HVAC, Transportation, and Carrier Corporate Headquarters.
Depending on business needs and the candidate’s skills and interests, interns may support work in areas such as digital product development, cybersecurity, AI/ML, data science, digital platforms, enterprise business systems, and infrastructure services. Interns will be matched to the teams that best align with their background and strengths, with placements based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Atlanta, GA depending on team location.
Interns will build skills and gain exposure to the following areas:
Agile methodologies
Business systems and tools
Cloud infrastructure
Data analysis and visualization
Digital products and design
Project management
Software development lifecycle
Stakeholder communication
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems
Must be a rising Senior and graduating on or before May 2027
Must be a US Citizen and eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field
A proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic
Proven track record in project management, leadership roles, team building, stakeholder management, and adaptability
Exceptional ability to prioritize, facilitate, and drive key projects
Strong technical skills in any of the following: cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics and data science, enterprise business systems, IoT, networking, software development, or UI/UX design
Digitally savvy with an interest in cutting-edge digital trends
