We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven Inside Sales Engineer to join our Columbus, OH office. The successful candidate will assist the Applied Equipment Direct Sales Office (DSO) by providing pre-sale and post-sale support to our customers. Role Responsibilities

  • Meet performance goals.

  • Execute take-offs, estimates, and quotes.

  • Provide support to customers and Sales Engineers.

  • Work Independently to Support Sales of Commercial HVAC Systems.

  • Review plans and specifications to develop HVAC systems solutions.

  • Effectively and professionally communicate requirements with customers and internal teams.

  • Adapt to customer specific requirements.

  • Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements.

  • Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers.

  • Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFQ's for new and/or existing customers.

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in fast-paced situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and the introduction of new products.

  • Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent. interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology with at least 2 years of demonstrated success in HVAC industry sales; OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in HVAC industry sales.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 5%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC products, system applications, and the ability to perform technical take-offs, prepare quotes, and support the bidding and order process.

  • A substantial understanding of the construction industry landscape, including project lifecycles, contractor relations, and institutional requirements.

  • Highly organized with a proven ability to manage complex, competing priorities and high-volume workloads with meticulous attention to detail.

  • A dedicated team player who excels in cross-functional environments, working seamlessly with internal partners to deliver world-class results.

  • A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and a "business-owner" mindset toward territory growth and account health.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical and commercial information to a broad range of stakeholders; both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.

  • Distinguished by outstanding follow-up habits and a commitment to seeing every project through to a successful conclusion.

  • An unwavering commitment to service excellence and building long-term, trust-based partnerships.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
