Key Responsibilities:    

  • Monitor, assist, and improve all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost.     
  • Ensure Safety throughout the department.
  • Eliminate, prevent, countermeasure all quality issues.
  • Meet and exceed the daily productivity issues.
  • Initiate improvement actions to reduce the department spending.
  • Play a key role in all other departmental metrics.
  • Encourage good attendance and to be an attendance role model by being at work each working day and always being on time.
  • Drive employees to get excited about work and use reinforcing feedback methods in order to encourage good work habits.
  • Explain why and impress upon the team a sense of urgency to reach the team goals and to get things done.
  • The Lead Tech will have thorough knowledge of all of the departmental operations and the ability to demonstrate process proficiency. The Team Lead will be able to provide immediate process or assembly back up for any absenteeism.
  • The Lead Tech will meet with his/her cross-shift counterparts on a daily basis at the start and the end of the shift.  The Team Lead coordinates daily work assignments and will hold weekly stand up meetings to in order to review the previous weeks' metric results and to receive any CI suggestions or concerns.
  • Effective Communications--The Lead will communicate daily with other shifts and Team Lead counterparts regarding Quality, Workload capacity, Safety, Staffing problems, CI issues, and machine or component problems.
  • Solve problems on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinate Quality control activities, initiate and implement Work Standards, specifications and characteristics of the department processes to ensure that quality is built into each of the production processes.
  • Encourage the use of CI Tools and methods that will properly solve problems.
  • The Lead Tech will provide new employee orientation and new employee introductions.
  • The Lead Tech will communicate with all of the team members on a daily basis.
  • The Lead Tech will search for constant improvement and seek out to eliminate waste.
  • The Lead Tech coordinates on-the-job-training. Lead must be multifunctional workers with the ability to perform all of the operations cross functionally in the department.
  • The Lead Tech and team members will ensure that equipment and machines are always in safe and good working condition.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of assembly or warehouse experience
  • 1+ year length of service with Carrier
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office suite

  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Knowledgeable of multiple lines, a plus

Pay Range:

The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.  Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
