About this role
Carrier North America Residential Solutions in Collierville TN has a position for a senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in the Human Resource Generalist discipline. Spearheads high-priority HR projects and policy development while providing strategic guidance on complex employee relations and internal documentation standards. Consulting with leadership to assess the organization's HR needs and assists with Talent Management issues is also part of this role. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides support and direction to the Collierville Team to enable the Team to deliver business results.
This is an onsite role in Collierville TN. The HR Team works for a “multiple shift” operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to implement HR programs focused on accomplishing targeted HR objectives.
- Provide direction for HR support in areas related to HR plan and policy management.
- Maintain a network of contacts in Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Labor and Employee Relations to address specialized HR questions.
- Lead projects and assignments related to major HR tasks involving multiple variables i.e., performance management, employee engagement, training and development and other relevant HR functions.
- Interpret and advise on human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employment laws, standards, or regulations to are followed and applied accordingly.
- Address basic to moderately complex HR-related inquiries from all levels of employees.
- Guide the development of various HR documents, i.e., organizational charts, employee handbooks/directories, and performance evaluation forms.
- Coach supervisors and managers on how to effectively address internal employee relations issues.
- Guide the development of records and reports containing employee-related data, i.e., hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- Consult with key leaders/stakeholders to obtain input on the organization's HR needs.
- Assist Talent Management with recruiting efforts for open.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources in manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Generalist/Business Partner experience in a large company with multiple locations
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and industry trends
- Post-graduate degree (complete or in-process)
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- HR designation (complete or in-process)
- Unionized environment
