Your job is not to convince people that it works, but to understand their building challenges and connect them to the right solution. You’ll work within a true team-based sales environment, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and service. While you own your account portfolio, you are fully supported every step of the way.

Who You Are

  • An Experienced Closer: You have a proven track record in Outside Sales, specifically within the HVAC, BAS, or construction technology space

  • A Solution Architect: You prefer "selling the solution" rather than "selling the box"

  • A Relationship Builder: You excel at navigating complex accounts and influencing multiple stakeholders at various levels of an organization

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish prospects and develop professional relationships to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services to meet them

  • Develop relationships with the Engineering community to obtain specification preferences

  • Aids in and supports business development activities for prospects within defined customer segment to support the business strategy

  • Prospects bid opportunities, participates in the preparation of bid responses and the negotiation with potential customers

  • Develop new customer contact leads 

  • Identifies prospective target accounts

  • Develops personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities

  • Attend trade shows to increase the visibility of the organization and potentially influence prospects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the HVAC industry

  • Valid Driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Building Automation and/or HVAC Controls Sales experience preferred with demonstrable knowledge in DDC control theory and HVAC systems

  • Experience selling into the BAS/HVAC Controls Industry 

  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations to potential customers. 

  • Experience analyzing market and company data to build business strategies

  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 applications

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers at all levels, both on a technical and business basis

  • Proven ability to influence customer’s key decision-makers

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives
