About this role

The Delivery Governance Leader – Digital is accountable for defining, operating, and continuously evolving the enterprise-wide delivery governance model for Digital initiatives, while also serving as the Global SOX Coordination Lead for Digital and Technology delivery. This role ensures that digital programs, products, strategic initiatives (AI Roadmap, Build & Run etc.) and platforms are delivered predictably, efficiently, and in alignment with business strategy—while maintaining strong controls over scope, cost, timelines, quality, and risk.

As the single point of accountability for Digital delivery governance, SOX program execution and CCM (Change Control Management), this role acts as a strategic bridge between strategy, execution, and assurance. It enables consistent, scalable delivery across the EDPS and Digital organization, while ensuring compliance with SOX controls through close partnership with Internal Audit leadership (Director level and above), PwC, Cyber Security Team and application owners across a global portfolio of 600+ applications. The role also owns Continuous Change Management (CCM) for the Digital landscape, including control execution, defect remediation, preventive maintenance, and disciplined weekly reporting—providing enterprise level visibility, risk mitigation, and audit readiness at scale.

The role provides enterprise level visibility and confidence to senior leadership by embedding strong governance, audit readiness, and risk management into day-to-day delivery—ensuring that speed, agility, and innovation are balanced with disciplined controls and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Governance, Frameworks, and Playbooks

  • Design and operate stage gates, delivery of health checks, risk assessments, and executive delivery reviews to drive predictability and early issue detection.

  • Provide senior leadership with transparent, data-driven insights on delivery performance, risks, and corrective actions on strategic initiatives like build & run.

  • Run special projects or strategic initiatives from definition to execution.

2. Global SOX Coordination, CCM and Audit Oversight

  • Serve as the Global SOX Coordinator for Digital, owning end-to-end SOX execution, audit readiness, and issue remediation across the Digital application landscape.

  • Act as the primary interface with Internal Audit leadership (Directors and above based in the CIB office) and external auditors (PwC) for all Digital SOX matters.

  • Coordinate SOX activities across 600+ global applications, working closely with application owners, product teams, AMS partners, and COE leaders.

  • Lead SOX walkthroughs, evidence reviews, deficiency assessments, and management responses; ensure timely closure of audit findings and control gaps.

  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of SOX processes to reduce operational friction while strengthening control effectiveness.

  • Provide executive level assurance on SOX compliance, risk exposure, and remediation status.

3. Portfolio & Demand Management

  • Govern the digital portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, OKRs, and COE capacity.

  • Facilitate intake, prioritization, and capacity planning processes.

  • Provide executive visibility into portfolio status, dependencies, risks, and value realization.

4. Performance Management & Metrics

  • Define, track, and report delivery of KPIs such as predictability, velocity, time-to-market, quality, benefits realization, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Implement and maintain executive and operational dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Jira, ServiceNow, Airtable, Asana).

  • Identify delivery trends, systemic issues, and continuous improvement opportunities.

5. Risk, Dependency & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies.
