General Responsibilities
Review plans and specifications to develop HVAC systems solutions.
Effectively and professionally communicate requirements with customers and internal teams.
Adapt to customer specific requirements.
Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements.
Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers.
Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFQ's for new and/or existing customers.
Ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in fast-paced situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and the introduction of new products.
Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent. interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of HVAC industry experience, or associate’s degree with HVAC experience, or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs – Commercial Applied Equipment experience a plus.
Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.
Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize multiple priorities.
Unwavering customer service orientation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
