Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Business in Indianapolis is looking for a motivated, analytical, self-starter, to serve as our Associate Director - Operations Project Management Office (PMO) who can contribute to our continued legacy of operational excellence. Focus on Strategy, Implementation, Collaboration, Reporting and Management in the PMO. This is an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products in the plants
  • Direct the development and execution of short and long-range strategies
  • Ensure that the manufacturing plants can achieve goals in safety, quality, service, productivity, and capability
  • Execute projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon specifications
  • Manage projects across the manufacturing plants
  • Establish and maintain a complete Manufacturing System of people, process, information, equipment, and infrastructure that enables the manufacturing plants to produce product without disruption
  • Endorse the use of Continuous Improvement Methodologies to drive process improvement and standardization
  • Collaborate with New Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the deployment and sustainment of standard manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering Group to develop technology roadmaps for manufacturing processes and systems design
  • Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Carrier policies and procedures
  • Lead a team of professionals

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 7 years plus leadership and management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • 10 years plus experience in operations or continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Master in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Proven ability to successfully coach, motivate, and develop employees
  • Project Management in a manufacturing environment
  • Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA),
  • Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Some travel including international
