About the role:
We are searching for an experienced leader to join the Corporate Controller’s team as the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting. This position is a cross-functional leadership role responsible for the review and oversight of SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other related filings.
The successful candidate must be a strategic, people-oriented leader with a strong technical background in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and financial compliance. Strong management, cross-functional problem solving and communication skills are required.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required disclosures, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines.
- Review and provide input into the investor relations function for earnings release presentations and non-GAAP reporting.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact for SEC reporting matters, collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and senior management.
- Assist Legal Department with Proxy and other periodic Form 8-K filings.
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, internal controls and documentation to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Support consolidations and month-end close processes as needed including ownership and review of monthly GAAP cash flow statement.
- Lead or be strategic team member in a variety of special projects in support of senior management, compliance activities, M&A activities or consolidations function.
- Mentor and develop junior staff both within the SEC Reporting team and broader Carrier Controllership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3+ years of financial reporting experience.

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, taking initiative for improvements
- Ability to handle confidential material related to company financial results and disseminate such information with appropriate discretion
- Strong attention to details
- Experience leading a team in a multinational organization a plus
- Proficiency with HFM and Workiva a plus
