Carrier is actively recruiting for a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Reporting Manager to join the team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the SEC Reporting Manager role within the Controller’s organization. The organization offers opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a growing accounting department and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. Job responsibilities subject to change based upon alignment of processes within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of SEC filings for the quarterly and annual financial results of Carrier in accordance with GAAP and SEC filing requirements

  • Review and provide input to the investor relations function for earnings presentations and Non-GAAP reporting

  • Assist Legal Department with Proxy and other periodic Form 8-K filings

  • Provide guidance on accounting and policy interpretation to business units as needed

  • Prepare accounting research memos and provide guidance to business units on various accounting issues as needed

  • Asist with adoption and implementation of changes in generally accepted accounting principles, accounting practices and SEC guidance as assigned

  • Helps coordinate internal and external auditors requests

  • Support consolidations and month-end close processes as needed

  • Leads or be strategic team member in a variety of special projects in support of senior management, compliance activities, M&A activities or consolidations function


 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and consolidations or SEC reporting


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA

  • Strong preference for experience in Consolidations or SEC reporting

  • Use of HFM and Workiva software skills a plus

  • Candidate must have a strong knowledge of US GAAP
