About this role
This position provides dual support to Carrier WHQ FP&A (approximately 50%) and Investor Relations (approximately 50%), offering broad exposure to corporate financial reporting, forecasting, and external-facing financial communications. The role is instrumental in delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights to executive leadership—particularly during quarterly earnings periods.
By partnering cross-functionally with business teams and serving as a key link between WHQ FP&A and Investor Relations, this role helps strengthen transparency, enable informed decision-making, and ensure alignment with Carrier’s long-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities “WHQ FP&A”
- Pull, analyze and report quarterly financial actuals and forecast schedules to the VP FP&A and broader corporate team
- Serve as the finance business partner for the Service and Aftermarket team
- Provide weekly Carrier orders reports to executive leadership and manage the orders reporting system for all Carrier segments
- Support the preparation and distribution of several Earnings Release materials to leadership
- Assist the team with ad-hoc quarterly forecasting and analysis
- Improve existing reporting processes and create new ones where required
Key Responsibilities “Investor Relations”
- Manage Carrier’s consensus model, report on key updates and insights, and ensure accurate reflection in the FactSet Application.
- Track and report key KPIs including valuation, stock performance and investor engagement and ownership.
- Manage peer compare model and earnings flash process, providing key insights of the competitive landscape during the earnings season.
- Assist in the quarterly earnings materials including the earnings presentation, Q&A prep and supporting internal financial reporting.
- Act as the liaison between IR and WHQ FP&A during earnings periods.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics / Commerce / Business Administration.
- 3+ years’ experience in FP&A / Accounting / Ops Finance.
- 1+ year experience with key financial statements.
Preferred Qualifications (assets)
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Experience with either HFM (Hyperion Financial Management system) or any similar large data management tool.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to report on analysis concisely and effectively both orally and in written format.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities under tight deadlines, be detail oriented, energetic, and self-motivated.
