About the role

This position is responsible for assisting the local depot with equipment scheduling, maintenance, repair, and quality control, as well as shipping and receiving with respect to the rental equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule preventive maintenance with the Lead Tech(s) and Depot Manager.

  • Load and unload equipment in the yard.

  • Inspect equipment leaving the yard (verify tagging status).

  • Verify proper bill of lading prior to equipment leaving the yard.

  • Verify equipment returning to the yard matches the original bill of lading.

  • Inspect equipment returning from customer sites for damage and inform Depot Manager of the damage and cost to repair.

  • Establish and maintain spare parts and equipment inventories. 

  • Maintain trailers inspections and registrations.

  • Maintain active task list for equipment repairs in the yard.

Environmental Health and Safety

  • Follow and maintain the environmental health and safety (EH&S) plan for the facility operation as stated in the Monthly Activity Plan (MAP) and Web based EH&S procedures with guidance from the Depot Manager.

  • Complete all on-line required courses.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of warehouse experience.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Overtime is required.

  • Valid Driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AAS degree, Technical/business school certificate or diploma.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality control, inventory management, and transportation (fleet) management.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Proficient in Word and Excel computer programs.

  • Familiarity with inventory or operations software.

  • Ability to multi task in a very fast past environment
