You will bridge technical expertise, people leadership, and strategic account management - ensuring high customer retention, team growth, labor optimization, and recurring revenue growth across commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Partnership

  • Trusted Advisor: Develop and maintain long-term, high-trust relationships with building owners, facility directors, MEP engineers, and key decision-makers across commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities.

  • System Modernization: Identify opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits, energy optimization, and cybersecurity enhancements across client building automation platforms.

  • Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of escalation for client concerns, collaborating closely with service technicians and operations teams to deliver fast, effective resolutions.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower field technicians, service managers, and project coordinators to deliver exceptional technical service and customer satisfaction.

  • Talent Development: Establish clear career pathways, conduct regular performance reviews, and build tailored technical and professional mentoring plans for junior and senior staff.

Contract Lifecycle & Financial Management

  • Service Agreement Ownership: Manage the complete lifecycle of service contracts, including pricing strategies, contract renewals, scope expansions, and re-estimates.

  • P&L & Account Profitability: Monitor account margins, labor utilization impacts, billing accuracy, and cash flow (A/R collections) to maximize division profitability.

  • Pricing & Labor Dynamics: Apply local market understanding to navigate competitive regional pricing, union labor cost structures, and subcontractor management.

Technical Leadership & Solution Development

  • Technical Guidance: Leverage deep BAS and HVAC control knowledge to educate clients on product capabilities, emerging smart building technologies, and energy savings strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, project management, and field technicians to develop technical solutions, cost estimates, and scope definitions for client retrofits and upgrades.

  • Service Operations Oversight: Coordinate with field engineers and project leaders to ensure resource allocation aligns with contract commitments and customer schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in the Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC operations, or mechanical service industry

  • 2+ years of proven experience managing service contract renewals, project management, recurring revenue models, account margins, and/or labor utilization.

  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability to manage relationships with high-value facility accounts and navigate complex contractual scopes.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit regional client sites regularly, up to 50% of the time
