About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to oversee monthly forecasting, cost variance reporting, and financial planning for Warehousing and Freight operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting entries, evaluating freight rates across business units, and leveraging data analytics tools like Power BI to deliver actionable insights and KPI reports to leadership.

This is a hybrid position that requires three days in the office and two days remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the month end closing & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting

  • Complete timely account reconciliations and ensure their quality complies with Carrier standards

  • Maintain accounting standard work documentation of system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity

  • Support monthly forecasting and annual plan processes for Warehousing and Freight costs

  • Analyze and recommend appropriate freight rates for all BU product lines

  • Utilize Power BI and/or other tools to analyze large data sets and create KPI reports

  • Review and report on Logistics cost variances each month to leadership

  • Review and analyze productivity plans, forecasts, and reporting

  • Special ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or Business Administration

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance or FP&A

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting/forecasting processes.

  • Proven track record with financial process/reporting improvement and simplification

  • Ability to develop and apply complex financial models involving large data sets

  • Strong financial/cost analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Self-direction and organization skills critical to achieving month-end reporting deadlines.

  • Excellent time management and adaptability

  • Detail oriented

  • Self-motivated

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and superior follow-through skills

  • Ability to manage competing and changing priorities with composure and professionalism
