We are seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager for our international Electronic Manufacturing Services. For the right candidate, a hybrid work model maybe considered.
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine Material Requirements utilizing available tools and initiate purchase orders to assigned product families with global EMS Contract Manufacturers to satisfy customer demand in a Demand Pull environment
- Working with Global Supply Chain team and leadership help craft global EMS strategy to support, 1, 3, 5 year growth goals.
- Liaise with other corporate (Carrier) EMS Commodity Managers to drive synergies where beneficial.
- Increase inventory turns, drive total inventory reductions while supporting 100% customer satisfaction using VMI, KANBAN, Pull methods or other tools
- Work with Supply Chain and OPS Co-Coordinators to address daily parts back-orders, shortages and on-time deliveries with suppliers.
- Manage order reconciliation and coordinate shipments direct to customer or to Sensitech locations utilizing the most cost effective freight methodologies for assigned suppliers.
- Coordinate “virtual” transactions when drop shipping to contract manufacturers or Sensitech distribution centers and CM billings with Supply Chain Co-Coordinator..
- Assist in RMA process to suppliers with QA and OPS.
- Meet or exceed KPI’s and target measurements as assigned.
- Comply with all material and company policies or procedures including ISO 9001
- Assist QA to facilitate measurements of assigned vendors/suppliers for inclusion on AVL and make recommendations for approval (or removal) as necessary, assist Engineering in supplier evaluation to determine best in class vendors and distributors
- Perform Strategic Sourcing initiatives for new suppliers/requirements, perform supplier audit/site visits for qualification as required (domestic and international)
- Utilize ISO quality system to prepare Corrective/Preventative Actions as necessitated by supplier performance, follow up as required to ensure swift response to deadline
- Initiate Mutual Non-Disclosure agreements when required
- Assist in training of others in the materials group in areas of expertise or knowledge
- Seek out and initiate cost reductions, suggest alternative components if applicable, achieve or exceed annual cost reduction targets, manage forecasts and stocking level of component items for manufacturing locations including lead times, minimum buys and packaging requirements
- Devise forecast of repair of defective product and/or recycled inventory for re-use in manufacturing or sales and net planned refurbished units from the new purchase requirements plan for Real Time and/or other devices as needed.
- Interface with international counterparts at Sensitech global facilities to reduce inventories and increase supply chain efficiencies.
- Act as global Supply Chain representative on NPI hardware projects and releases, assist/co-ordinate quotes, supplier selection, project launch and transition from current products
- Act as liaison between Engineering, Accounting and Suppliers to manage approved CAR (capital) disbursements. Set up/negotiate timing of payments based on available resources, time receipts to optimize expense, monitor PO’s to project specific NRE and CAPEX budgets
- Manage Sched B (Engineering driven cost reduction) reporting and project analysis, assist Eng. in vetting financial savings, volumes, launch and burn in time across supply chain.
- Perform global sourcing and vetting of new suppliers or technologies, present findings and recommendations to Engineering, manage quote processes and onboarding of new suppliers.
- Assist in maintaining Engineering metrics from Change Gear/TS to allow for examination and understanding of back log and velocity and remove blockers to progress.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience with international procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management and freight management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong electrical component/device background.
- Proven/measurable track record of cost reduction.
- CTPAT knowledge desirable
- Experience/knowledge in Demand Pull fulfillment environment
- Ability to negotiate with international suppliers to drive TCO reduction
- International CM/EMS supplier management experience
- Ability to travel internationally
- Superior knowledge of MS Office, including Excel & Access
- Excellent inter-personal skill, team player, ability to interface with Engineering, Marketing, Finance and other departments in a global matrix organization.
- ISM/APICS certification
- Lean Certification
- Experience with ERP implementation and usage (Epicor, Bahn/Infor/SAP)
