About this role
Kidde-Fenwal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist - Commodity Management and Sourcing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity management and strategic sourcing; with a focus on driving cost savings and optimizing suppliers’ relationships; negotiating and administering contracts; and analyzing price proposals to enhance price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply whilst utilizing established sourcing goals.
Although this role is remote for someone based in the USA, but preference will be given to candidates close to Ashland MA.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead aggressive cost-reduction projects and activities
- Negotiation with low-cost regions i.e., facilitation with Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers
- Manage cost reduction efforts from ideation to implementation
- Offer Operational Site Supply Chain support
- Set negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies
- Execute the Supply Chain strategies
- Establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data/information to determine reasonable prices
- Evaluate vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness
- Identify and research suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
- 7 years plus experience in commodity management; strategic sourcing or negotiations
- 25% international and domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Project Management skills
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship building skills
- Eng communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sourcing software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Function independently/self-sufficient and take responsibility without supervision
