About This Role
Carrier business strategy relies heavily on relationships with joint venture partners and holds investments in numerous JV's around the world. In addition, Carrier continually seeks new business through mergers and acquisitions. From time to time, Carrier will also modify its business portfolio by divesting non-core businesses. The role is part of a 4 person team based at the WHQ in Palm Beach Garden, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the process of accounting for and reporting of Carrier acquisitions and divestitures.
Assist with strategic and tactical aspects of deal accounting, including the drafting of accounting work plans.
Coordinate execution of accounting work plans with Carrier businesses upon a divestiture or joint venture reorganization.
Assist with planning and coordinating acquisition integration reviews.
Perform technical accounting analysis to support local and central teams.
Support the annual Carrier goodwill and intangibles impairment testing, including updating associated DCF models, net book value allocations and roll-forward of accounting memo
Support the supervision of M&A accruals/invoices.
Required Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,Economics, or Business.
3+ years handling M&A activities (acquisitions and divestitures).
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economic field with active CPA license
5+ years of hands-on experience executing complex M&A transactions, including end-to-end acquisition integration and divestiture/carve-out accounting.
5+ years of deep experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM); strong proficiency with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 Finance, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle) and modern financial close automation tools.
Proven track record of mentoring team members, providing clear technical guidance on complex accounting matters, and fostering professional development.
Demonstrated ability to drive results both independently and collaboratively across a matrixed organization.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a positive, team-first mindset and strong interpersonal savvy.
Highly organized with superior time management skills; proven ability to manage competing priorities and hit tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Valid government-issued ID and ability to report to the designated local workplace as required.
