About this role

This talent management leadership role, the Talent Partner, will create and drive global talent, inclusion & diversity, and organizational design and effectiveness strategies to enable individual and business success.

In partnership with the Talent Management Center of Excellence, HR Colleagues, and People Leaders, the Talent Partner will lead the core talent processes of Goal Setting, Performance Management, and the Leadership Development Review (LDR) process, with associated development activities.

They will proactively guide and monitor Succession Management practices and ensure effective career development plans are in place. They will work closely with executive leadership teams to build inclusive team cultures, provide change leadership, and implement proven methodologies for improving the Carrier employee experience and engagement.

As defined by the business strategy, the Talent Partner will interface with leaders to assess both short- and long-term capability requirements and develop plans accordingly. They will be equipped to provide expert facilitation and coaching to leaders, leveraging best-in-class tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational effectiveness, in one or more of the following areas: talent review process, succession management, talent planning for key talent pools, performance management, learning and learning systems, inclusion and diversity, employee engagement, culture building, and executive coaching

  • A proven ability to influence executive teams as a strategic and analytical resource in leading organizational effectiveness, culture, and engagement activities

  • Thorough knowledge of and direct experience with development of competitive talent programs, initiatives and best practices for leader and professional development, learning and learning systems, inclusion, diversity and equity, top/critical talent identification, succession planning, employee engagement, and culture transformation

  • Proven ability to add value, efficiency, employee engagement, and profitability through the alignment of human assets to contain costs and improve financial performance

  • Excellent acumen for assessing talent initiatives utilizing data analytics and metrics to drive progress and measure results

  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, coach and inspire executive teams, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations

  • Proven experience and skills in team building, conflict resolution, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to varying audiences

  • Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field of study

  • 5+ years of Organizational Effectiveness/Talent Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Talent/Organizational Effectiveness/HR Business Partner

  • Advanced degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development

  • Skills in assessing external competition by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative, and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations

  • Possess leadership acumen to perform as a true strategic partner to top company executives; ability to establish presence and demeanor to interface and work collaboratively with leaders and skill to make significant contributions on key leadership committees

  • Organizational Effectiveness and Design experience with mergers, acquisitions, and cultural integration

  • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.

  • Proven long-term and strategic perspective that extends beyond the immediate initiatives
