External Description:
Nlyte is the leading provider of software for managing and optimizing data centers and is seeking an individual to drive its worldwide Sales and Sales Engineering team and efforts. This role will report to the GM of the Nlyte business.
This role requires an experienced and aggressive sales professional with demonstrated capability in all aspects of enterprise software sales, from lead management through all steps of the sales pursuit process, and will be responsible for driving and developing the sales team. The candidate will have experience in managing large, complex enterprise software engagements, and developing and managing multiple internal and external sales channels. The candidate must have extensive experience in both direct sales and channel engagement.
This is a highly collaborative role, and to achieve financial targets and customer success, the candidate must drive efforts and engagement across Product Management, Engineering, Services and Marketing. The candidate must have basic knowledge of enterprise software structure, deployment and licensing.
The role will be measured against financial targets, and the candidate must create and drive programs and channels to achieve those targets.
Primary responsibilities:
· Deliver revenue targets utilizing a growth mindset by driving sales teams, channels and programs
· Accountable for the entire revenue process, including prospecting, influencing, negotiating, and selling
· Work with other stakeholders to create programs to drive lead generation
· Manage sales team personnel
· Identify, pursue and hire sales and sales engineering candidates
· Drive synergies and sales engagement with other groups in Carrier
· Prioritize opportunities and associated team activities
· Provide market and customer insight to other stakeholders to influence, drive and refine product and marketing efforts
· Create and manage incentive programs to appropriately drive revenue and team engagement
· Create, monitor, and report on KPIs and leading indicators of success
· Maintain extensive knowledge of customers, opportunities, markets, and competition
· Drive best practices and asset creation and reuse in the sales engineering team
· Collaborate with project delivery teams and partners to close and execute contracts
· Participate in business development activities, including product demonstrations, regional trade shows, and other demand creation activities
· Requires travel as needed
Required experience:
· Minimum of 10 years experience in enterprise software sales and the sales pursuit model
· Experience consistently meeting and exceeding financial targets
· Must have both direct sales experience and sales team management
· Must have operational knowledge of software architecture and deployment models
· Experience working in a matrixed, collaborative software team
