The primary responsibility of this position is to troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies produced at Automated Logic’s Kennesaw, GA factory. The setting is in a clean, modern electronics assembly plant. Our goal is to provide access to all items required for success including modern automated test equipment, data analysis tools for determining failure mode and trends, dedicated training department with emphasis on IPC soldering and rework skills, easy electronic access to all BOMs, schematics and PCB files and access to Engineering and Quality teams for assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
- Proactively participate in efforts to improve site conditions, productivity, and performance
- Identify and report trends observed regarding product quality and failure modes
- Data entry into various systems regarding failure mode and corrective action taken
- Perform preventative maintenance on test fixtures
- Perform other functions as assigned by Management
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of electronics experience or AA/AS degree in Electronics
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and be able to stand for an extended time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training in electronics (Military, College, or Vocational training)
- IPC-A-610 and IPC 7711/7721 certifications
- Ability to troubleshoot analog, digital, and micro-processor based electronic circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and PCB design files
- Proficient at using digital multimeters and basic oscilloscope operation.
- Demonstrated soldering and soldering rework skills
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to learn various software applications to test, program and configure electronic assemblies.
- Experience with automated test systems and test fixtures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including sequence of operations, technical product literature, and specifications
- Candidate must be able to multitask to support multiple projects, work well both in groups and individually, focus on results, be open to new ideas, have good written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and work well under pressure
- The candidate must also have good time management skills, attention to detail, good resolve, and the ability to ensure follow-up with customers and co-workers
