Automated Logic Controls (ALC) is actively recruiting for a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Specialist to join the team in Mississauga ON.
About the role:
As the face of Carrier, you’ll be our Automation Field Service Specialist for assigned building automation systems. This is your chance to grow your technical and customer service skills, as well as show off your leadership abilities. Looking after our customers or working on new construction projects, you’ll take the lead on equipment maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Able to create, download, and troubleshoot basic HVAC system logic using WebCTRL and associated software
Communicates issues with Service Management on a timely basis
Working knowledge of Automated Logic hardware and WebCTRL software functions and utilities
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology, including layout and troubleshooting
Must be well organized with good time management and communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment
Able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Experience with Microsoft software products to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Windows products when required
Possesses a general understanding of the operation and control of mechanical equipment and their control sequences
Possess computer and networking skills to properly maintain a service laptop as well as experience in the commissioning of Ethernet and ARC Net communications
Maintains the customer with innovative and superior building automation systems and provide outstanding customer service
Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
Basic Qualifications:
College Diploma or University Degree in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, focus on Automation or Computer Science
2+ years Field Service Automation Technician experience in the HVAC controls industry.
Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier
Willingness to work shift work
Preferred Qualifications:
Field experience and a complete understanding of the installation and operation of Building Automated Systems.
Intermediate experience with Automated Logic software to include: WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, and Supervision.
