About this role
Electronics Software or Hardware Project Management professional with knowledge of applying project management best practices. Develops project plans and budgets, performs critical analysis, pursues all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitors project performance. Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and risk mitigation plans for projects and suggest appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan, schedule, and budget.
- Record and documents delay, changes in scope, and any other incidents that impact the scope of work or schedule to ensure smooth project operations.
- Pursue all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
- Perform critical path analysis and prepares and implements work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Facilitate meetings, consolidate, and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s).
- Identify and react to project problems and recommends solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Work with internal and external software groups and hardware suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in an electronics / software development environment and/or project management in an Engineering environment.
- Associate’s Degree and 5+ years of professional working experience in a technical environment or Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of professional working experience in a technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Industrial Management or related field.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where not all processes and procedures are clearly defined. Agility to change directions quickly as needed.
- Demonstrated leadership on engineering project teams.
- Experience in working cross-functionally across multiple teams and building consensus
- Experience in establishing and analyzing metrics and key performance indicators.
- Ability to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and develop and drive appropriate solutions.
- Proven experience in managing software or electronic hardware projects
- Experience managing teams with remote and international team members.
- Proven Project Management experience managing software and/or hardware engineering projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, equipment controls, and wall controls.
- Experience Agile and Waterfall project management approaches.
- Solid business acumen.
- Project / Program Management certification(s).
