About This Role

Carrier is seeking an experienced Total Rewards professional that will manage the global Long-Term Incentive Plan (stock program), the U.S. based Deferred Compensation programs, Board of Director equity compensation, and support other Executive Compensation initiatives as required. Position is responsible for the stock plan administration activities (daily, monthly, quarterly and annual) and annual deferred compensation processes, while partnering with internal contacts across various departments/geographies and managing external vendor processes/relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of the global equity plan (currently granted as Performance Share Units-PSUs, Restricted Stock Units-RSUs, and Stock Appreciation Rights-SARs) and maintain all aspects of the equity management system including, but not limited to, new grants, vest event processing and settlement, exercise taxes/settlement, termination processing, and demographic and payroll data file transfers from/to HR/Payroll and the equity vendor.

  • Reconcile and perform auditing procedures related to equity transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality control of data in the equity system.

  • Provide support to internal teams for monthly corporate accounting and global payroll processes (23 countries); including responding to inquiries and support requests.

  • Support Corporate SOX controls/testing and global audit/compliance requests.

  • Partner with Legal/Corporate Secretary's office on relevant insider trading and Section 16 reporting requirements and tracking.

  • Manage monthly/annual deferred compensation enrollment events for base/bonus compensation.

  • Manage annual distributions of deferred compensation programs by partnering with Benefits colleagues, deferred compensation vendor, payroll and Corporate Secretary's office as required.

  • Participate in annual compensation planning processes (Workday) with other Total Rewards colleagues, FP&A, and accounting vendor for equity expense forecasts.

  • As primary contact, respond to equity-related requests from HR business partners, employees and former employees to resolve questions or issues.

  • Update/enhance and develop communication materials in support of managed programs.

  • Update documented processes and procedures and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or Business

  • 4+ years of global stock plan administration experience in a public company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of overall Executive Compensation function and related regulatory (SEC, legislative) and tax considerations

  • Strong data and technical proficiencies

  • CEP (Certified Equity Professional) is beneficial, but not required

  • Demonstrated project management and vendor management capabilities

  • High level of discretion related to employee, payroll, and equity information

  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically in MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, modeling, etc.)

  • Ability to interact and build solid working relationships across the organization with strong communication skills

  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
