Responsibilities for Supply Chain Digital Product Owner:
I. Implement Systems & Tools Strategy
- Implement Supply Chain Systems and Tools strategy for all supply chain systems and tools
- Develop systems and tools roadmap based on business value priority and stakeholder needs
- Identify gaps within current landscape, manage backlog of systems to drive continuous improvement
- Drive synergy and efficiency in everything
II. Enable Supply Chain Performance KPIs with data accuracy and systems automation
- Deliver Supply Chain performance KPIs consistently on time and accurately leveraging systems and tools
- Enable KPI owners including but not limited to spend, performance, risk etc. to conduct root cause analysis using systems and tools
- Ensure consistency of KPIs across systems and tools in collaboration with users, data and digitalization lead
- Develop and implement governance of introduction of new systems, tools and features within landscape
III. Drive Systems and Tools Adoption
- Build and maintain inventory of systems & tools in current landscape to understand purpose, benefits
- Build automated tracking mechanism for each system and tools. Device action steps to drive adoption
- Champion utilization of systems and tools by conducting user training and provide support across the supply chain organization
- Actively collaborate with users, data and integration leaders to find opportunity to drive adoption and continuously bring value to users
IV. Systems Performance Leader
- SC Performance KPIs: Bring external and industry best practices to improve supply chain systems performance
- SC Stakeholders: Be the voice of customer for the supply chain organization users
- Partnership: Manage strong partnership across Supply Chain organization and digital to improve systems performance
Skills for Supply Chain Digital Product Owner
- Achieve Results: Strong focus on achieving critical supply chain KPIs with speed and agility
- Business acumen: Strong business acumen on supply chain KPIs and able to connect KPIs with its impact on the P&L, Balance sheet, Cash Flow and Customer Experience
- Domain Knowledge: Strong supply chain functional domain. Must understand intimately the KPIs of the supply chain as applied to Supply Chain lifecycle of Plan, Source, Make and Deliver; Proven experience with Deep understanding of Source to Contract, Contract to Procure and Procure to Pay processes
- Technical Fluency: Must possess strong acumen in quantitative analytics with a formal STEM background. Familiar with the modeling terminologies and techniques (regression, overfitting etc.) to work with data scientists and interpret model results and validation techniques. Aptitude to connect business problem with modeling techniques to drive results
- Problem-solving: Must have the skills to be able to solve complex business processes and/or problems identifying key issues and challenges. Have an eye to the details and the “big picture”
- Analytics Use Case: Knowledge of common use cases in supply chain is critical to be effectively able to identify the value of data and analytics in Carrier’s context. Should be conversant to address analytical challenges with varying quality and volume of data
- Agile Project management: Should be able to manage an analytics initiative end-to-end from ideation through production and adoption using agile methodologies. Can anticipate challenges and pro-actively address them to deliver quick and actionable results.
- Can-do attitude: Have the enthusiasm, commitment, and business savvy to navigate the many technical, political, and organizational roadblocks that can emerge to drive results. Ability to develop innovative solutions and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to get the job done
- Communication: Strong interpersonal communication and adept in written and verbal communication across the function and organization.
- Team building: Team builder and strong relationship building skills across the business, digital and technical community
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
- 12+ years of total experience in data analytics, insights, or a similar field
- 5+ years of experience working in supply chain domain
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain or Business analytics strongly preferred
- 7+ years of total experience in data analytics, insights, or a similar field
- Experience with an industrial manufacturer strongly preferred
- Experience in consensus building, influencing, facilitation and negotiation
- Experience with managing end to end digital data flow and delivery and management of systems and tools to drive results strongly preferred
- Experience to work cross functionally across stake holders and matrixed teams
- Ability to dive into large volume of data to develop insights and build hypothesis; set up datasets to test hypotheses.
- Ability to build data visualization using tools e.g. PowerBI, Tabelau or Qlikview
- Strong experience building and articulating business cases to facilitate data-centric strategy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including consensus building, influencing, facilitation and negotiation
- Strong presentation skills especially with executive audience
