About This Role

As an Experienced Lighting Designer/Engineer you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing lighting conservation opportunities in all kinds of facilities from prisons to schools/universities to military bases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being knowledgeable and fluid in the use of SnapCount auditing tool. Acting as the SnapCount Coordinator and training staff on best practices and new features.
  • Creating detailed audits to establish baseline energy use and to propose optimal energy efficient lighting and lighting control upgrades
  • Calculating energy savings
  • Creating Bid Docs and obtaining project costs.
  • Keeping up-to-date on the latest lighting technologies and building codes
  • Maintaining lists of material costs for budget pricing and to evaluate subcontractor proposals.
  • Being knowledgeable and fluid in the use of internal lighting database

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of lighting engineering or lighting design experience
  • 50% Travel required
