Primary Function:

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, deploy learning modules with digital assets for the global Carrier Excellence Academy. A seamless technical learning experience is expected for the organization to learn and apply the principles, systems, processes, and tools surrounding the Carrier Operating System.

This role resides within the global continuous improvement organization and will partner closely with other trainers in organizational functions and human resources. You will work closely with Continuous improvement, lean, automation and quality subject matter experts, instructional designers, (IT) digital teams and other stakeholders using best practices in instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences in many languages across the globe for continuous improvement learners. You will ensure that learning content aligns with organizational goals, is practical and suited to fit adult learners at any competency level, in any function within Carrier. You will support the design of learning pathways, recognition structure, certifications and manage the system interfaces used at Carrier for deploying continuous improvement learning content. The Carrier Excellence training program depends on several systems and this role will manage the technical aspects of information flows between systems (API, MFT).

You will help to plan, execute, and market ongoing changes to the Carrier Excellence Academy curricula, website design, and deliver program communications to coordinate curricula deployment.

To be successful the individual selected will have demonstrated ability to excel in a global team environment, with effective communication, be highly motivated, self-directed with limited oversight.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and deploy engaging learning content that incorporates interactive lessons, multimedia elements, simulations, gamification techniques and blended learning methods to enhance learner retention and encourage skill development.
  • Build templates, assessments, checklists, and outlines to be used as learning resources
  • Ensure training content is visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with instructional design principles
  • Maintain current digital tools and recommend improvements to software, and technologies suitable for digital and in-person training environments across the globe ensuring the overall efficiency, scalability, and security of the systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date system documentation and procedures, including end-user guides and training materials
  • Troubleshoot and make enhancements or upgrades to optimize systems performance and functionality
  • Support Train-the-Trainers and Certified trainer network
  • Clarify and translate the digital requirements to ensure a seamless learning experience.
  • Integrate, configure, and maintain other systems into the LMS and vice versa
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the LMS.
  • Synthesizing and simplifying content into digestible content for adult learners at all levels in all functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and courses at a time
  • Experience with emerging digital technologies and their application in learning: such as mobile learning, AI, virtual reality, gamification and flipped curriculum to “Create High-impact training”
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in digital training, instructional design, and learning technologies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in training and instructional design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Education, and/or Information Systems/Technology 
  • 3+ years of years of experience with E-learning and Learning Management Systems management experience (ie. Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, InDesign and Adobe Creative Applications, Workday, SuccessFactors)
  • 3+ years of Instructional Design and Curriculum Design for remote on-demand asynchronous learning experiences
  • 3+ years of experience with Change management / Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience with content development, including video editing, graphic design, and interactive content creation
  • Advanced degree in Organization Development, O/I Psychology or related field.
  • Certification in one or more assessment instruments (e.g. MBTI, FIRO-B, Birkman, DISC)
  • Experience with multi-national organization (2+ years)
  • Greenbelt, PMP, Lean six sigma Agile and Scrum certification  (5+ years of application)
  • Teaching certificate/experience
  • Artificial intelligence use

  • Technical Writing
