About This Role
This position will support the HQ and Operations FP&A teams for the Fire & Security Segment of Carrier. This duel scope will not only allow the candidate to facilitate all the major FP&A processes such as monthly close reporting, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plan, but also see things from the lens of operations. Below is a summary of roles & responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Support the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of monthly forecasts and close. Consolidate P&L & operations analytics into business-wide financial statements and prepare for review with senior management.
Collect data from previous month’s results and triangulate to new forecasts, identifying risks & opportunities
Remain current on key financial outlooks and business activities to incorporate in forecasts, analyses, and target considerations
Drive working capital optimization through cash flow analytics and evaluation of working capital metrics, providing insight for cash forecasting
Evaluate standard processes, utilize technologies, and make recommendations to automate and increase efficiency
Drive cross-functional initiatives with teams at the plant, finance, and global operations leadership in scheduled reviews and pop-up meetings
Meet periodically with factory teams to extrapolate the results of the close and consolidate a crisp story for upper management
Prepare the price/cost model to analyze how the company is performing with price vs. inflation
Support a series of ad-hoc requests & projects to drive more efficient reporting, which will result in faster business insights for upper management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management, Finance or Accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong leadership, organizational and people development skills
Forward thinking, strategic and execution oriented
Strong analytical and spreadsheet development skills, along with prior advanced knowledge of financial consolidation systems (HFM preferred) and Excel
Work and interface well with various organizations and personnel at all levels
Manage concurrent assignments and respond quickly to ad hoc requests
Be self-sufficient and self-starter
