About this role

Carrier in Palm Beach Gardens is seeking an expert to develop the Supplier Quality initiative across the different business units on a Global scale. Own the execution of Supplier Quality & Development operational goals and plans!  This is a 100% remote role for someone based in the USA.   

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, modification, and maintenance of processes for supplier qualification & certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution
• Be the “Subject Matter Expert” in Supplier Development activities including but not limited to Capacity assessment and improvements, Value Stream Mapping, development of action plans to drive supplier performance improvement
• Provide expertise on the analysis of quality data and development of part & supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions
• Act as an internal consultant for root cause analysis & problem-solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures
• Develop corrective and preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for products provided by suppliers
• Lead processes and procedures for supplier qualification & certification, source inspection and material release processes, and Correction Action Boards & DQ Clinics with suppliers
• Provide support to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
• Ensure that suppliers are capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance
• Lead a team of cross-functional project specialists

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years plus of strategic experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain or Supply Chain Sourcing

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Bachelor’s Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Business
• MBA
• Six-Sigma Black Belt
• Proven track record of leading cross functional initiatives
• Advanced ability in data analytics, problem identification and solution oriented
• Leadership and influencing others
• 5 years plus experience in Supply Chain/Sourcing in Supplier facing activities
