About The Role:
As a key RLCS team member of the service and aftermarket this person working with platform design centers, product engineering, service application and field service representatives will help deliver critical parts information to aid in the setup and stocking of parts and release of the appropriate service bill of materials, kits and or information into our online systems. This person actively participates in Qualification Review Board (QRB) meetings as required to make sure that our service and aftermarket requirements are met, proprietary content is protected and detailed parts obsolescence planning occurs when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design center passport team member responsible for managing deliverables of parts obsolescence, new parts setup, catalog releases, and sustaining activities.
- Supports part supplier resourcing strategies via part qualification.
- Maintains effective communication with customers and field team members to understand requirements for improvements.
- Maintains frequent customer contact which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy.
- Communicates technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Multi-functional resource within RC for parts analysis and to help resolve part quality issues.
- Develops specialized product knowledge with a focus on service and aftermarket.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of service engineering experience with HVAC systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree in engineering
- Demonstrates knowledge and familiarity with HVAC component qualification.
- General knowledge of HVAC equipment and HVAC parts.
- Knowledge of Carrier internal systems desired.
- Ability to collaborate within RC multi-functional teams as well as external customers.
- Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently under minimum direction and without day-to-day supervision to prioritize work to meet customer needs.
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills including technical writing skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Organized with strong attention to detail, while handling multiple priorities.
- Superior follow up and follow through skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
