About This Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to join our team.  Key contributor to accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards related to general accounting, general ledger, projects, and / or government accounting. This includes compilation and maintenance of accounting statements, reports, general ledger accounts, cost revenue reports, balance sheets, and / or bank statement reconciliations in order to ensure smooth functioning of the processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the month-end closing process

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Provide accounting support to field organization

  • Maintain accounting standard work documentation

  • Perform cost accounting functions and associated entries necessary for proper revenue recognitions or deferrals

  • Approve journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Maintain a strong internal controls environment

  • Special ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager

Required Qualifications:        

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance

  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Business

  • 3+ years working in a services or manufacturing environment

  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization

  • Proficient with MS Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel including to ability to do complex formulas, pivot tables, and reports

  • Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and Python is a plus

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management in both written form and orally

  • Strong PC skills including experience with ERP Applications such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP, HFM

  • Strong attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time
