Audit Lead - TECHNICIAN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently demonstrate proficiency in multiple work areas while maintaining a high level of safety, quality and productivity. The Audit Lead Technician must be a team player who has demonstrated a willingness to be cross trained in multiple work areas and willing to work wherever needed throughout the IML departments as determined by members of the management team. This position should be knowledgeable and will share some responsibilities of other positions in the IML organization. Applicant must be flexible with fluid work expectations and directions.
This position is responsible for working with the department management team and serves as a critical link between the audit team the warehouse and production to improve delivery performance by tracking, validating, expediting, and reporting real time part delivery status. Position will have cross functional collaboration with Production, Planning, Engineering and the Warehouse.
The person in this position will:
- Lead warehouse audit actions
- Follow standard work and train employees to follow standard work.
- Coach new technicians to improve audit skills.
- Work with team to eliminate, prevent, and resolve quality issues.
- Possess a sense of urgency and demonstrated initiative to help line performance daily.
- Maintain good attendance (below final written warning).
- Ensure deployment and sustainment of Cx fundamentals on the site (Excellence Boards, Tier Reviews, Turnback Management, etc)
- The Audit Lead will have thorough knowledge of all warehouse and audit functions and the ability to demonstrate process proficiency.
- The Audit Lead will meet with his/her cross-shift counterparts on a daily basis at the start and the end of the shift. The Audit Lead coordinates daily work assignments and will hold daily stand up meetings to in order to review the previous weeks' metric results and to receive any CI suggestions or concerns.
- Effective Communications--
- Communicate daily with other shifts and team members regarding counterparts regarding Quality, Workload capacity, Safety, Staffing problems, and other identified problems.
- Solve problems on an ongoing basis
- Coordinate Quality control activities, initiate and implement Work Standards, specifications and characteristics of the audit processes to ensure that quality is built into every kit.
- Support new employee orientation, new employee introductions, communicate with all of the team members on a daily basis,
- Search for constant improvement and seek out to eliminate waste.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Work history includes teamwork, versatility and flexibility.
- Ability to work well with others as well as independently.
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of multiple lines; brazing; wiring; burst and run stand preferred.
