External Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use overhead cranes/hoists as well as a Mi-Jack Crane to load finished goods onto flatbed trucks for shipping.
- Tarp, seal, and package finished goods for protection during shipping
- Take pictures of all finished goods and add to files for audit/warranty purposes
- Work efficiently and effectively to ensure the shipping schedule remains on-time, minimizing truck detention
- Operate a forklift to move material and finished goods around the stock yard
- Ensure finished goods/audit paperwork is on file prior to shipping a unit
- Identify ways to improve the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes in the workstation
- Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
- High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
- Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department
- Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed
- Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments
- Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork are required
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Solid mechanical background required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read procedural documents and safety materials.
- Prior experience operating crane/hoist equipment is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to safely operate crane/hoist equipment. Assemble components using various hand and power tools according to specifications.
- Ability to read operating procedures and safety materials.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Experience maintaining the cleanliness of workstation
