External Description:

Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for Electronics, aligned with the organization's overall procurement and business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, potential risks, and emerging trends within the Electronics industry.

Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of electronic components and products.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers. Draft and manage contracts and agreements to protect the organization's interests while promoting mutually beneficial partnerships.

Cost Optimization: Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the Electronics category without compromising quality.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives.

Supplier Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of procurement professionals to support the Electronics category. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business or engineering

·       10+ years experience leading a supply chain or engineering team

·       Strong knowledge of the Electronics market, suppliers, and product trends.

·       MBA or graduate degree

·       Excellent negotiation skills & strategic mindset

·       Strong operations acumen

·       Strong project management skills

·       Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing supplier contracts to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance.

·       Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
