About this role

The Manager of Commodity Management and Sourcing will negotiate and manage supplier contracts to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance while managing cross-functional teams and building collaborative relationships. Responsible for developing and improving indirect commodity management and sourcing to processes to enhance price, quality, timing, and reliability of Carrier outcomes.

The position can be located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL or located remotely in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for designated categories, aligned with the organization's overall procurement and business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, potential risks, and emerging trends within the Indirect Supply Chain assigned areas

  • Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of services, materials, and products

  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers. Draft and manage contracts and agreements to protect the organization's interests while promoting mutually beneficial partnerships

  • Cost Optimization: Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the Indirect Supply Chain without compromising quality

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, WHQ Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives

  • Supplier Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Operations or Supply Chain

  • 3+ years of experience in MS Excel and MS Word

  • Travel 20% within North America

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Large global industrial organization experience

  • Demonstrated track record of driving significant cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier optimization, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong analytical and market research skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities while mitigating supply chain risks.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Procure to Pay experience with Ariba and other tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication including presentation skills

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
