About the Role

The Product Training Specialist will be responsible for educating students in all aspects of operation, troubleshooting and repair for commercial applied HVAC equipment 25 Ton capacity and greater. This will include air- and water-cooled systems, centrifugal, screw and scroll compressors. In addition to training on existing applications, this role will be critical in benchmarking new training opportunities to support and streamline the digital transformation initiative. This position will work directly with internal and external team members to support and develop effective, engaging, and valuable learning solutions as well as manage key delivery systems to effectively support customers and Carrier’s internal service network.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate and consult with cross-functional teams, and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine effective technical training solutions and address development needs

· Create, maintain and facilitate engaging training assets, including presentations, micro-videos, job aides, and how-to processes.

· Establish expertise as a user of our Learning Management System (LMS), including enrollment support, virtual course facilitation, and troubleshooting

· Maintain records of training and scheduling through the LMS (Totara)

· Stay current with Learning and Development (L&D) industry trends, and benchmark best practices to elevate learning offerings

· Assist in the maintenance and operational integrity of training aids and lab equipment for classroom activities

Required Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED

· 5+ years Commercial HVAC field service experience

· Teaching experience in a technical environment

· 30% travel

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelors degree preferred

· 10+ years experience Commercial HVAC Field Service

· High degree of knowledge and expertise in all phases of commercial HVAC including installation, operation and service

· Experience creating instructional content and digitizing materials

· A strong technical aptitude and knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and application practices

· Adept in using technology and facilitation techniques to engage learners.

· Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
