About This Role
Our team is looking for an IoT Product Engineer that can innovate and deliver exceptional solutions to our customers. As a member of the design development team, your daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, development, modification, testing, debugging, and support for new and existing hardware and firmware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product team to refine requirements
- Design and prototype electronic solutions
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout
- Work with the firmware team for implementation
- Determine test requirements needed for the testing team
- Work closely with stakeholders and technical lead to see product through the entire development lifecycle
- Communicate with other hardware engineers to ensure correct system integration
- Facilitate prototype builds and general project implementation
- Provide support to production and field issues
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering best practices
- Interact with other departments to understand and break down business requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of IoT or M2M product development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other drafting tools
- Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies
EH&S REQUIREMENTS:
- Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
- Attend scheduled EH&S training program
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
- Recommend improved EH&S practices
