About This Role

This Senior Product Management position is with the Carrier Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for the management of Carrier RC’s Factory Authorized OEM Parts and Universal aftermarket motors. The role is responsible for products across all channels and brands that RC offers. The focus will be on driving growth and profitability in sales to distribution as well as new channels and will require managing multi-business unit teams to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a large team of experienced Product Management professionals or Product Management team leaders, overseeing product development, advertising, viability, and marketing/sales strategies.
  • Develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and advises multiple teams on relevant Marketing processes/policies in support of the overall Marketing strategy.
  • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product and service placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product and service development for a specific product or service, brand, or product/service area over its entire life cycle.
  • Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product/service or product/service line.
  • Determines the profitability and viability of new products/services or product/service enhancements.
  • Confers with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement or royalty sharing with outside producers or distributors.
  • Oversees and directs competitive product/service analysis and market research of product/service consumer behavior and professional audience.
  • Responsible for controlling the evolution of sales of one or more products/brands of the company.
  • Coordinates promotions and advertising efforts of products/services or brands under his/her responsibility.
  • Product management with a cross-functional team to achieve goals, including forecasts, quarterly pricing, maintaining gross margin targets, price mod reviews, inventory reviews (assist with last time buys, obsolete and excess), etc.
  • Provide and analyze sales and product reports by customer and by channel
  • Product launch, including new part set up with pricing, gross margin and other required information
  • Prepare business opportunity plans in support of potential new business & utilize Passport review process to gain business unit approvals.
  • Execute the tasks associated with the plan.
  • Analyze competitive product features, benefits, and pricing and recommend appropriate actions to provide a competitive portfolio of products.
  • Provide product information, and legally approved product claims to support marketing materials. Provide support for product videos or online learning module script development and review.
  • Support the RC Parts Information Management (PIM) process to ensure there is electronic PIM data and images to be used in e-commerce.
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries and build product and brand loyalty with RC’s customers.
  • Conduct product training sessions online & face-to-face at customer training events for 50+ attendees.
  • Support distributor events such as open houses and trade shows to discuss and demo products.
  • Provide support and training to RC Sales team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 + years of experience in product or parts product management.
