We are seeking an established Technical Sales Engineer to join our New York City team! You will market and sell Carrier Applied and Industrial HVAC products and solutions to current and potential Consulting Engineer customers within our territory. Key Responsibilities
Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets
Lead and grow assigned territory and business through existing accounts and develop new accounts by identifying potential customers and building solid long-term relationships
Routinely call on and support our customers, which include Consulting MEP firms and facility owners/developers (school districts, universities, hospitals, private corporations).
Follow-up with customers by assisting with equipment selection/system design consulting. (bid day operations)
Promote Carrier's line card of products, attend trade shows and marketing events, supporting our local educational efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of experience with applied HVAC equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Public Sector selling experience
Working knowledge of HVAC design and application tools; that has worked with design and consulting engineers
Experience selling into US government agencies
HVAC Controls Experience
PE Certification
LEED AP accreditation
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Salesforce
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both external customers and cross-functional teams of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates
A sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and a sense of ownership
Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize
Unwavering customer service orientation
