About This Role

The Manager, Marketing Programs & Promotions is responsible for the overall strategy and management of the Marketing Programs & Promotions team. This group’s mission is the creation and execution of strategies for marketing programs that assist distributors and dealers in growing sales, acquiring new dealers, and improving dealer loyalty. In this role, the Manager, Marketing Programs & Promotions will manage a team of 5 Marketing Managers and work closely with Brand Managers within Marketing to ensure marketing programs align and support channel initiatives. A constant evaluation of program performance, as well as suggestions for changes and enhancements to current programs is expected. This position requires strong communication skills and understanding of promotions, such as financing, rebates, loyalty rewards, and warranty programs. An ideal candidate would be able to work effectively within a fast-paced, cross functional organization while managing a dynamic team within Carrier’s marketing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of program managers and analysts, ensuring company and individual goals are being met.
  • Develop program strategies; including roadmaps where collaboration with the full program team and product development has been actively incorporated.
  • Develop and deliver clear, simple, differentiated, high impact sales and marketing programs for residential products, residential sales and marketing, and coordination with other brands and business units across Carrier Corporation. 
  • Ensure the delivery of complete and consistent program methodologies/materials tying to brand strategies.
  • Develop, report, and share key metrics regarding program performance and ROI.
  • Manage third party vendor relationship; setting program growth objectives, collaborating on meaningful reporting mechanisms, and ensuring accurate program set up and management.
  • Assess the needs and creation of program materials that drive brand goals and objectives; specifically including brand differentiation.
  • Ability to present, communicate and update at all levels of organization both internal and external, up to an Executive Level.
  • Participate & present in distributor dealer meetings and Factory events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with marketing promotions and Program Management
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in people management
  • Strong background and hands-on experience working with 2-step distribution.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of promotions, financing, rebates, and points and loyalty programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
  • Experience managing budgets, continually assessing performance and taking necessary actions to improve results.
  • Proven ability to develop business strategy and drive implementation.
  • Proven track record of being able to continually assess performance and make recommendations for necessary actions to improve ROI results.
  • Demonstrates skills in sales & loyalty programs including evaluation methods, results analysis, and program/curriculum development.
  • Thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitors’ programs.
  • Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
  • Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities, and delegate responsibilities across the team.
  • Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
