About The Role:
Carrier is looking for a global energy management PMO to drive a strategic, customer centric innovation portfolio focused on implementation of our energy management related technologies and innovations. The candidate will partner closely with relevant business unit general managers, engineering, product, sales and strategy leaders in order to align requirements, resources and trade-offs as necessary to deliver customer backed solutions to market.
The ideal candidate would have successfully led innovation projects to product solutions while having close cross-functional engagement and alignment throughout.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Drive implementation of global innovation roadmap to deliver energy management solutions
- Co-ownership of joint innovation activities for solutions across multiple domains
- Execute technology strategy, architecture, and system requirements
- Leverage global platforms
- Leverage global resources (internal and external) to deliver on program commitments
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of project management tools and processes
- Coordinate with functional/BU stakeholders to maintain and adjust on roadmap based on business needs
- Understand and use project management and Passport process.
- Can establish a team (work breakdown structure) of qualified people to execute the project.
- Perform the overall management of multiple projects to ensure that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints
- Report project progress on a regular basis to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity
- Perform management of the risks of the project, including the development of contingency plans
- Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary
- Ensure project objectives are understood and met, ensuring that the Project Team members understand the requirements
- Ensure all stakeholders are adequately consulted or engaged on key deliverables for their respective functional area
- Prepare and lead cross functional workshops to align key business objectives and strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of engineering experience in leading a portfolio of engineering programs with cross-functional requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of building trusted relationships with Digital and Business management across product lines. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/initiatives.
- Ability to solve problems using and find alternate paths to achieve objectives in a highly constrained environment.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Digital management, Functional leaders, Field service).
- Knowledge of IoT and its contribution to digital services (remote monitoring, preventative maintenance, as a service concepts)
- Knowledge of energy management systems and components
