External Description:

Carrier is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor who will handle inbound shipments, kitting, crating and cycle counting and process orders both within the operation and direct from our vendors. The warehouse supervisor will plan warehouse efforts in coordination with business needs. You will form relationships between freight providers, corporate logistics, and customers. The warehouse supervisor is critical to helping design and analyzes the methods employed in ensuring our warehouse operations are running efficiently, and material is managed in a timely, accurately manner.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and direction for all inbound warehouse activities.
  • Direct the flow of receipt to putaway.
  • Manage all important documents such as bill of ladings, custom documentation, parcel shipments, SLI’s, and Hazardous materials.
  • Inspect and audit – receiving, putaway, kittng, crating and cycle count processes.
  • Work with operations, and other managers to optimize processes.
  • Control and monitor budget for inbound processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Act as a liaison between management, carriers, and customers.
  • Monitor quality of work in the  inbound processes effectively.
  • Maintain and update JDE shipments on a regular basis and always ensure accuracy at the same time.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inbound receipts and putaway is maintained and stored properly.
  • Manage the implementation of new tools and resources to improve the overall efficiency of the warehouse processes.
  • Address any problems or complaints that may arise quickly and amicably.

 

Basic Qualifications

·           High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications

·           5 + years of experience in logistics/shipping within a distribution facility.

·           Demonstrated leadership qualities in producing significant change and improvements in a warehouse setting.

·           Experience in the materials/warehouse industry

·           Strong organizational, communication, partnership, and social skills.

·           Project management proficiency with a keen understanding of change management

·           Practice strong relationship skills with the ability to work across a broad range of job levels

·           Excellent analytical skills, including strong facility with quantitative analysis techniques

·           Demonstrated creativity and innovation to advance materials processes and initiatives

·           Critical thinking skills, including the validated ability to simultaneously be tactical while forward-looking

·           Have knowledge of continuous improvement or other lean operating philosophies.
