Job Description

NORESCO is seeking a Streetlight Auditor Technician. We are seeking an individual that has operations and maintenance (O&M) experience with energy/utility assets. The candidate will possess effective organizational, auditing, communication, and reporting skills.  Systems includes streetlights and associated load centers. This is a hands-on role with direct interaction with sub-contractors. 

About the role

This position manages day-to-day auditing tasks with a focus on quality control and effective maintenance of streetlights and load centers. NORESCO’s Operations and Maintenance Group is responsible for oversight and physical audits of all streetlight contracted maintenance.

As a Streetlight Auditor, you will be responsible for performing in-person audits to verify streetlight maintenance has been completed as prescribed. Streetlight maintenance is conducted by the customer’s sub-contractor. The candidate will accurately report the results of each audit to ensure stakeholders are informed so maintenance deficiencies can be addressed in a timely manner. The individual will build and maintaining effective relationships with our customer and the customer’ sub-contractors.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all NORESCO and customer safety standards. Promotes safety awareness on work sites.
  • Audits/inspects sub-contractor maintenance activities of streetlights and load centers.
  • Reviews work orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer and provide status updates of service repairs.
  • Performs frequent site audits to identify failed streetlights and load center deficiencies.
  • Manages assigned work to meet customer expectations.
  • Reports issues to Project Manager in accordance with company protocols.
  • Maintains a running log of audit results.
  • Complete and maintain all safety or job-related certifications as required.
  • Completes all job required documentation on time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports in accordance with company policy as required.
  • Responds to scheduled or emergency situations as assigned.
  • Ability to travel to support other sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience with electricity and circuit theory.
  • 1+ years of experience with street lighting, load centers, and electrical installations.
  • Able to read, understand and interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings and specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/Certification from a recognized college or university in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and other Windows products as required
  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Good understanding of troubleshooting methods and practices.
