This is a 2nd shift position.
The Logistics Technician will work with the Floor Supervisors to ensure Inventory is being stored in accordance with Department expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor incoming production and ensure the warehouse has appropriate storage availability.
- Assist with all documentation and administration of unit storage/inventory using multiple software tools including SAP EWM, SAP ECC, and Microsoft Office.
- Assist with all goods receiving for items not produced in the Indianapolis Manufacturing Plant.
- Assist QA group to ensure no quality issues escape the warehouse.
- Work with Floor Supervisors to set up Inventory Management best practices.
- Monitor bin storage through cycle counts, audits, and by using various reports.
- Assist with the Annual Physical Inventory
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key personnel involved in or directly relevant to Quality/Inventory Management.
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 + Years of experience in warehouse environment inventory control
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Warehouse Industry.
- Strong quality and customer satisfaction orientation.
- Previous experience using ERP software, ideally SAP EWM and SAP - Sales to Cash module
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
- Team oriented perspective; able to work well & contribute with other points of view.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in self-directed manner to identify needs of the organization and/or customer.
- Strong analytical skills
- Superior organizational, follow-up and follow-through skills.
