About This Role

We are seeking a self-directed and results driven Inside Sales Engineer to join our sales team in Orlando, FL. You will assist the Commercial Sales organization with rapid and accurate responses involving pre-sale and post-sale support. You will also provide technical support to customers, engineers, and mechanical contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements

  • Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers

  • Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFQ's for new and/or existing customers.

  • Have an ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Support Sales Manager and Sales Engineers with new and existing accounts and introduction of new products.

  • Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customer

Required Qualifications  

  • Associates Degree

  • 3 Years of Experience of Inside or Outside Sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical subject.

  • HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs – Commercial Applied Equipment experience a plus

  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, sense of ownership is required

  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with ability to get along with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates

  • Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to handle multiple priorities

  • Unwavering customer service orientation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
