About this role
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations will develop program plans, schedules, and budgets for new and existing product. This role supports strategic planning efforts, solutions for program problems, contract negotiations, and manages important suppliers.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Leads medium size programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility and recommends appropriate adjustments.
Manages important suppliers and develops milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs.
Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports.
Prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results.
Supports annual strategic planning efforts for the business.
Guides continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
Identifies and reacts to program problems and supports solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications.
Supports the development of new business growth strategies.
Coordinates responses to customer action items.
Supervises the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resources.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years program/project management, manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain experience OR Advanced degree 5+ years of program/project management, manufacturing, operations, and/or supply chain experience.
Travel 50% to factory in Europe and Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise.
Ability to influence, collaborate and work across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
High degree of independence
Problem solving attitude with focus on teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Office, PowerPoint)
Engage with program team daily and provide solutions to potential risks
Relentless drive to overachieve, outstanding team player, strategic vision with ability to execute
Ability to work on complex problems in an ambiguous environment
Knowledge of Microsoft ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Power BI, JDE (SAP support) system
