This is a rare opportunity to join the Carrier team as a direct hire. As a Warehouse Operator you will be responsible for supporting the materials operation in a distribution environment. This position works Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with overtime. Schedule may change based off of business conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
- Support the picking/packing, loading/unloading and general warehousing duties
- Understand method of locating materials
- Read a packing list and follow defined shipping/receiving protocols
- Record turn back’s
- Process rework work orders/purchase orders
- Perform and reconcile cycle counts, relentless root cause analysis
- Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards
- Execute JDE transactions relative to your area of responsibility
- Perform 5S
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 35lbs.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified PIV Driver
- Experience in a high volume, high complexity, distribution environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
